More infared Photographs

The bluish images are taken by adjusting the white balance to incandescent mode... i think it post-processes the red out, like the orange/yellow light from incandescent bulbs?

The crappy floppy disk filter seems to interfere less with the auto focus when on macro.

Biscuit tin banjo w. Piezo transducer pickup

A simple amp built from a kit attached to my rudimentary plank and can banjo by way of a piezo transducer- this picks up the physical vibrations of the strings in a flat piezoelectric crystal that produces equivalent in electric pulses (flexing piezoelectrics releases electricity). This is the audio signal.

apparenty the vibration of the tin body carries all the strings' vibrations through its own key, so they are all just different tones of the same note. (i may have got this wrong..)

Anyway, through the massive sound system it made your ears bleed, though its hard to hear in the video.

Next step: humbucker pickups and a solid body banjo!

Fist attempt at replicating didgeridoo lips.

Not very good, maybe bike inner tube will work?

Things to do

Automated didgeridoo machine

Inteference cannon. Like a tank game?

Pow!

SUPERRED!

Hacked the front off an old digital camera and replaced the infrared filter on the CCD (the sensor) with a piece of floppy disc.

Floppy disc does the opposite, blocking visible light and passing infared.
Its not perfect infared (does not show infared released by heat) and its blurrier than the camera used to be, but it looks nice.
By changing the lighting settings on the camera you can get it red or purple.

Cycloptonaut.

Right now i feel like an overawed astronaut
Sometimes i feel like a solid beam of light
astronauts are strange
i want to make astronaut pong, with ragdoll physics.
here is my astronaut. (with eyebeam)
i have rigged him, but unity does not like blender rigs
